Referring to work re: village industries that Kumarappa was doing he says that he travelled about 20000 miles in one year ie. the orevious year.- visiting places in Punjab, Madras, Bombay and Nagpur . Prof. Kumarappa says that work in Punjab was superficial and showy, spending lakhs of rupees without achieving any concerate result. Refers to helplessess of Shri Vaikunthlal and Goshiben. Kumarappa had been pressing.for Rural Development committee of the congress. Spoke to Kripalani who promised to call a meeting of the provincial congressPresident & Sacretaries Refers Shri Pattani of Bhavnagar. The provincial government seemed to be concerned with vote cating programmes and schemes rather than real constructive work. We should attach more improtance to basic deucations. Kumarappa's reference to his health complaint. Blood pressure- keeping better in spite of heavy travelling programme. Refers of his agreeing to contribute articles to the "Harijan".

Kishorelal and Narahari and others have been feeling very much sorry over it. But this was done to just to bring out correct meaning of celibacy. Manu sleeps with me not as a part of experiment but as part of observing real celibacy. I should be what I seem; hence this. I have tried to explain my action through speeches (three in number). Paper_reports also have appeared. I have sent a copy of the report to several of my associates and am sending one copy to you. Send your opinon after reading it. How is Krishnachandra? Vinoba writes to Gandhiji that he is in receipt of his letter, and also that he has gone through Gandhiji's letter to Radhakishern. He has sent a reply to Gandhiji through Kakasaheb. Regarding the matter under discussion, i.e. Maun's sleeping with Gandhiji, Vinoba says that he does not want to argue his point. But, however, he states his view clearly and says that it is not necessary to go through such an exercise to attain the highest stage in Brahmacharya. Vinoba refers to the stanza in the third Canto of Gita which Gandhiji had quoted in support of his action. Vinoba does not agree with Gandhiji's interpretaion of that stanza. Vinoba again adds that he does not want to argue because it is not in his nature to do so. But he says he feels sorry for he had to differ from Gandhiji. This was only the second occasion in thirty years that Vinoba had to differ from Gandhiji. Vinoba's eyes had grown weak and hence he does not want to do much writing work. Ref. to Krishnachanandra, who was in constant touch with Vinoba.
